Shizuoka Gotemba City
A spectacular open-air bath overlooking Mount Fuji and a premium spa soothed by Fuji's subterranean water
"Kirakubo" is a day-use hot spring facility located inside Tokinosumika, a sprawling leisure resort in Gotemba, Shizuoka Prefecture. It features a large public bath with abundant hot water and an open-air bath that offers a spectacular front-facing view of Mount Fuji on clear days, gently melting away the fatigue of everyday life. The sauna facilities include two types: a high-temperature sauna that envelops the entire body in powerful waves of hot air, and an open-air low-temperature steam sauna where you can lie down and slowly work up a sweat. After the sauna, a cold plunge bath using subterranean water from Mount Fuji softly wraps around your overheated body, delivering an exceptional cooldown. Carbonated springs and a variety of baths, including a women-only special bath, are also available, making this a blissful space where you can refresh to your heart's content.

A large public bath generously filled with alkaline simple hot spring water, known for its abundant flow. Its smooth, soft texture glides over the skin, with none of the roughness of harsher waters, and gradually releases tension throughout the body. After stretching out your arms and legs in the spacious indoor bath, move on to the open-air bath for a more liberating experience. On clear days, the majestic Mount Fuji rises directly in front of you, and as you gaze at the changing colors of the sky over time, you can enjoy a blissful bathing experience that makes you feel one with nature.

A full-fledged dry sauna that wraps your whole body in powerful waves of hot air the moment you step inside. In this quiet space stripped of unnecessary decoration, you can calmly face yourself. As you sit down and steady your breathing, sweat bursts out all at once, and your daily fatigue and impurities are pleasantly flushed away. *The image shows the women's bath.

A spacious steam sauna set in the open-air area, where you can lie back and relax. Fine steam generated at regular intervals fills the room with gentle warmth. Even those who are not good with intense heat can enjoy it without feeling short of breath, and can relax while lying down and enjoy a long sauna session.

A cold plunge bath luxuriously filled with natural subterranean water, a gift from Mount Fuji. It has none of the sharp, biting sting of ordinary cold water, and its smooth, rounded coolness gently envelops your body after the sauna. Because you can surrender yourself naturally without holding your breath, even those who are not fond of cold water can cool down comfortably.
