Tanegashima's first natural free-flowing beautiful-skin bath and full-fledged sauna
A hot spring facility attached to Tanegashima Araki Hotel that also offers day-use bathing. The island's first natural free-flowing hot spring is known as the beautiful-skin bath, leaving the skin smooth and soft. The men's bath features a full-fledged auto löyly sauna with an iki stove made by metos, along with a cold plunge bath with natural spring water flowing directly from the source. The women's bath is equipped with a steam sauna wrapped in gentle vapor and a cold water bath using well water. There is also an outdoor air bath space surrounded by high walls, where you can fully enjoy island time while achieving totonou.
A sodium bicarbonate spring gushing from 1,500 m underground, offered as natural free-flowing water with no added heating in the foot bath and open-air bath. Thanks to its cleansing effect, it removes old dead skin cells and leaves the skin smooth and refined, which is why it is cherished as a beautiful-skin bath.
A full-fledged dry sauna in the men's bath, featuring an iki stove made by metos. The room temperature is around 90°C, and the high humidity is maintained by auto löyly. You can enjoy strong heat and perspiration that make it feel as if your whole body is suddenly enveloped in warmth.
A steam sauna in the women's bath, wrapped in gentle vapor. In the soft mist, you can feel your skin and hair becoming moist and refreshed. It is a space with easy listening music playing, allowing you to relax at a leisurely pace.
A deep cold plunge bath in the men's bath, with a water depth of 80–110 cm. Natural spring water flows freely through it, and the water temperature is a mild 20°C or so. While it is not ice-cold, it is comfortable enough that you can stay immersed for a long time.
