100°C twin-stove! Authentic sauna in Koniya, Amami Oshima
Sauna＆Stay, located in Koniya, Setouchi Town in the southern part of Amami Oshima, is an accommodation for sauna lovers featuring a serious, dedicated sauna (day-use bathing is also available). The sauna room uses a twin-stove configuration with a HARVIA stone stove and a Bona stove, set to a high temperature around 100°C. You can enjoy both self-löyly and auto-löyly, delivering overwhelmingly intense heat. After a rapid cool-down in the deep cold plunge bath kept in the 15°C range, lie back on an infinity chair in the male-only rooftop outdoor cooling area and feel the sea and mountain breeze as you reach the perfect totonou (state of perfect relaxation).
An ultra-authentic sauna adopting a twin-stove setup: a HARVIA stone stove plus a Bona stove hidden under the seating and at the back. Room temperature is around 100°C. The HARVIA allows self-löyly, and the Bona sauna provides automatic löyly every 30 minutes. You can enjoy intense heat pressure and a perfectly balanced humidity setting.
A clean cold plunge bath located right next to the sauna room with continuous bottom circulation. Depth is ample, from 80cm to 110cm. After heating up in the ultra-hot 100°C sauna, it is the perfect oasis for a rapid cool-down.
