Miyazaki Kanko Hotel in Miyazaki City is a resort spa that also welcomes day visitors. Located on the banks of the Oyodo River, which served as the setting for Yasunari Kawabata's novel Tamayura, it features elegant and tranquil bathing areas with a refined atmosphere. The men's sauna is set at a dry, powerful temperature exceeding 100°C, making it ideal for those who like an intensely hot sauna. The cold plunge bath is thoroughly chilled to 14°C to 16°C, making it an excellent match for the high-heat sauna. Resting by the edge of the open-air bath while feeling the Miyazaki breeze allows you to experience the quiet, graceful sense of totonou unique to a hotel.
A weakly alkaline sodium chloride hot spring with iodine content. It has excellent heat-retention properties, so the warmth lingers long after bathing. The open-air bath is a rock bath, offering relaxation in a space full of traditional Japanese atmosphere. The women's bath is also equipped with the Borina ultra-fine bubble shower head.
A dim, relaxed sauna room for adults with no TV or BGM. The men's bath is an ultra-high-temperature, strong-style sauna set above 108°C to over 110°C, with a faint woody aroma in the air. The women's bath is set at around 90°C. Sit on the upper bench and you can work up a sweat in no time in this powerful sauna.
A compact cold plunge bath located right next to the sauna room. For a hotel sauna, it is set up quite boldly and runs cold. You can quickly cool down your body, heated by the high-temperature sauna, with crisp cold water.
