Open-air air-bathing overlooking Nichinan and an auto löyly sauna
Located on a small hill in Nichinan City, Natural Hot Spring Hinata no Yado Nichinan Miyazaki is a hot spring inn that can be enjoyed both for overnight stays and day trips. The facility operates two rotating-gender baths, Obi no Yu and Ahiratsu no Yu, each equipped with a dry sauna heated by a far-infrared stove and fitted with an auto löyly system. The cold plunge bath is deep and offers an excellent flow line from the sauna. The open-air area provides totonou chairs for comfortable outdoor air bathing while overlooking the townscape of Nichinan, where you can enjoy a pleasant breeze. The natural hot spring, known for its skin-beautifying properties, pairs perfectly with the sauna experience.
A chloride spring (sodium chloride and bicarbonate spring). The weakly alkaline, silky texture is characteristic of these skin-beautifying waters. There are more than 10 types of baths, including jet baths and waterfall-style baths, and the spacious open-air bath offers panoramic views over Nichinan.
Both Obi no Yu and Ahiratsu no Yu feature dry saunas heated by far-infrared stoves. Nozzles for the auto löyly system are installed above the heaters. Personal sauna mats are provided at the sauna entrances, allowing guests to comfortably sweat while watching TV.
The cold plunge bath is located immediately adjacent to the sauna room for an excellent flow line. The water depth is 80–110 cm, deep enough to submerge from toes to shoulders for a full cool-down. Water temperature is around 18°C, and the soft, not-too-icy water quality makes it comfortable to stay in for extended periods.
