About Furuyu Onsen ONCRI
Furuyu Onsen ONCRI is a mountain-valley resort for therapeutic onsen stays in Saga City, Saga Prefecture. Its natural onsen wells up from its own source at a generous 43 tons a day and is a renowned spring also known as the “beauty bath.” Soaking for a long time in its lukewarm water, which is gentle on the body, brings deep relaxation to body and mind. Part of the appeal is making your way around the many baths, from the open-air bath looking out toward Mount Tenzan to the reclining bath and the box steam bath. The main bathhouse also has a sauna and a cold plunge, so you can refresh yourself by alternating hot and cold surrounded by nature. The detached rooms each have their own bath, where you can enjoy a private soak in a stillness that seems to melt into the mountainside. There is also a restaurant making the most of seasonal local ingredients, so you can fully savor a modern take on the therapeutic onsen stay.

The main bathhouse draws on its own source, known for its generous flow. The water is gentle on the skin, earning it the name “beauty bath,” and it is known as a lukewarm onsen that puts little strain on the body. Starting with a rustic open-air bath looking out toward Mount Tenzan, there is a wide range of baths, including a reclining bath and a box steam bath, where you can slowly unwind body and mind while feeling the breath of nature.

A private onsen bath in the JIBOH detached rooms. In a tranquil setting that seems to melt into the mountainside, you can enjoy the prized lukewarm water whenever and for as long as you like. Throw open the windows and you can savor a blissful soak, undisturbed by anyone, as the pleasant breeze of the mountain valley drifts in.

A quiet dry sauna attached to the main bathhouse, where you can take in a good dose of heat between rounds of the many lukewarm baths. In a calm space far from the bustle of daily life, you warm up to your core and work up a pleasant sweat, then the cold plunge gently envelops your flushed body for a refreshing cool-down. From there you move on to cooling off in the open air, feeling the clear air of the outdoor area, and are led into a deep sense of renewal.
