About Yusai no Yado Bokai

"Yusai no Yado Bokai" is a hot spring ryokan in Beppu, Oita Prefecture, within walking distance of Beppu Station, and is proud of its cuisine. It has two private hot spring sources: the annex bathing wing Kobou, which opened in December 2024, and the open-air bath on the rooftop of the main building. You can fully enjoy the smooth, silky, and slightly slippery beauty-giving waters, with yunohana drifting through them, as free-flowing natural spring water. The men’s public bath is equipped with a dry sauna with auto-löyly, and the women’s public bath has an aroma mist sauna. Another attraction is the chance to slowly savor elaborate creative dishes featuring ingredients such as Seki mackerel and Oita wagyu from Oita Prefecture, served in your room.

Bokai Onsen

Luxuriously fed by free-flowing natural spring water from two private hot spring sources. The waters in the bathing wing Kobou are rich with yunohana drifting through them, while the rooftop open-air bath in the main building is known for its smooth, silky, and slightly slippery feel. Both are cherished as beauty-giving waters that leave the skin pleasantly moisturized after bathing. You can fully enjoy a tour of two baths with different spring qualities while taking in the wide sky and sea of Beppu Bay.

SaunaSAUNA

01SAUNA

Dry Sauna

Men's

A compact dry sauna newly installed in the second-floor men’s public bath, Aoiyo no Yu. It uses an automatic löyly cycle every 30 minutes, with periodic bursts of steam that keep the humidity and heat inside pleasantly balanced. After working up a solid sweat, you can cool down in the deep cold bath nearby. Surrounded by the scent of fresh wood, you can spend a quiet, refreshing break here.

02SAUNA

Aroma Mist Sauna

Women's

An aroma mist sauna located in the third-floor women’s public bath, Tangetsu no Yu. Aromatic steam with changing scents periodically fills the room, gently warming your body while you are wrapped in a pleasant fragrance. With mild heat that is less likely to make you feel short of breath, it is a relaxing space especially appreciated by women, helping moisturize the skin and hair as you unwind.

01COLD BATH

Cold Bath

Men's

A cold bath adjoining the dry sauna in the men’s public bath. It is 90 cm deep, allowing you to cool your body all the way to your shoulders after heating up in the sauna. The moderate coldness makes it easy to enter, so you can enjoy a thorough cool-down at a comfortable pace.
