Hyotan Onsen is a day-use hot spring facility located in Kannawa, Beppu City, Oita Prefecture. Established in 1922, it offers a chloride spring with a source temperature of 100.4°C and a flow rate of 500 liters per minute. The water is cooled to a suitable temperature using a unique bamboo cooling device called 'Yumetake' without dilution, providing a 100% pure flow. You can sweat thoroughly in the natural steam bath, enjoy the waterfall bath and open-air bath in the large bathing area, and warm up to the core with the sand bath. With 14 types of family baths, you can also enjoy inhaling or drinking the spring water, fully indulging in the benefits of the source while being enveloped in the steam-laden atmosphere of Beppu and Kannawa.

With a weak acidity of pH 3.1, the salty water provides a tingling sensation on the skin, continuing to warm the body from the core even after bathing, making it difficult to catch a chill.
