About Tamatsukuri Onsen Ryotei Yamanoi

"Tamatsukuri Onsen Ryotei Yamanoi" is a hot spring ryokan standing on the banks of the Tamayu River in Matsue, Shimane Prefecture. With a lodge that evokes a gentle sense of nostalgia, like sunlight filtering through the trees, it takes pride in its large bath and open-air baths where guests can fully enjoy the abundant natural surroundings. In the men's open-air bath, Kanga, a refreshing waterfall has been incorporated, while in the women's open-air bath, Kagetsu, guests can savor the beauty of a bamboo grove in the background and soak to their heart's content in the skin-beautifying hot spring known as the "hot spring of the gods." Guests can also use the baths at its sister inn, Hoseikan, just a 1-minute walk away, free of charge, making it possible to luxuriate in a hot spring-hopping experience through the onsen town.

Most of what we surveyed never even made it onto this site. This book is a further cut from what did. Our editor bathed in every onsen and sauna in it, and wrote only what they confirmed on the ground.
