About Yudukushi Salon Ichinobo
"Yudukushi Salon Ichinobo" is an all-inclusive hot spring resort in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture. Surrounded by the murmuring waters of the Hirose River headwaters, its natural hot spring from a private source, combining Tsuru no Yu and Kame no Yu, flows throughout the large baths, open-air baths, and even the guestroom baths. The smooth water moisturizes the skin, and even after warming the body through to the core, a gentle residual warmth remains. In the multiple open-air baths with different temperatures, you can move between a standing bath that lets you sink up to your shoulders and a lukewarm bath for lingering soaks, while a herb mist sauna steamed with mugwort by the vapor of the natural hot spring bathes the skin in a refined Japanese fragrance. In the standing bath, there is a liberating sensation as if your body is floating lightly, and from fresh spring greenery to snowy scenery, you can soak as one with the seasonal gorge. The private source hot spring water flowing directly from the source quietly loosens your body from the inside out.
Hirose River Headwaters Open-Air Bath Mugwort Herb Mist Sauna
Organic mugwort is steamed using the vapor of the natural hot spring, and the low-temperature mist slowly envelops the skin. Unlike the sharp heat of a dry sauna, the humid steam reaches deep into the pores, while the inhalation bath of mugwort's soft, green fragrance loosens you from within. As your body gradually warms all the way through, the residual heat lingers long after you step out. In summer, freshly picked raw mugwort is used, and in other seasons dried mugwort, filling the air with the scent of Japanese herbs year-round.
Open-Air Bath "Shizenburo"
Quietly tucked away beyond a wooden staircase, this is an open-air bath made for long, leisurely soaks. The slightly warm private-source water rising from the bottom of the bath wraps around your skin like a gentle touch. With a distant sense of the river nearby, this is a deeply immersive bath where only your own breathing seems to remain.
Large Bath "Maruko no Yu"
A spacious large bath that serves as the starting point for your bath-hopping journey, wrapped in the warmth of wood with log accents. Rest your head on the bath pillow and your shoulders naturally loosen. The smooth chloride-containing spring water gently moisturizes the skin, and the warmth lingers even after you get out.
