"Hitoyoshi Ryokan" is a hot spring inn in Hitoyoshi City, Kumamoto Prefecture. The building preserves the strong character of early Showa-era sukiya-style design, and the inn has been designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan. The moment you step inside, you are enveloped in a nostalgic atmosphere. Its pride and joy is the large public bath, where you can enjoy a smooth, pleasantly rich hot spring straight from the source in the famous Bijin no Yu. In addition to a unique deep bathtub, a rustic rock-bath-style bathing area, and a quiet open-air bath, there is also a private rental bath for enjoying time in complete privacy.   • From the Kagoshima area: Hitoyoshi IC (via Kagoshima IC → Mizobe Kagoshima Airport IC). ETC-equipped cars can also use Hitoyoshi-Kuma Smart IC

By train and bus

  • Hakata Station → Shin-Yatsushiro Station, approx. 1 hour → approx. 40 minutes by highway bus on the B&S Miyazaki line to Hitoyoshi IC
  • Kagoshima-Chuo Station → Shin-Yatsushiro Station, approx. 45 minutes → approx. 40 minutes by highway bus on the B&S Miyazaki line to Hitoyoshi IC
  • Kagoshima Airport → approx. 50 minutes by highway bus on the Highway Kirishima service to Hitoyoshi IC
  • Fukuoka Airport → Hakata Station → approx. 150 minutes by highway bus on the Phoenix service to Hitoyoshi IC
