Kumamoto Minamiaso Village
A quiet hot spring resort for adults, embraced by spectacular views of the Aso Five Peaks and skin-beautifying hot spring water
"TAOYA Aso" is a hot spring resort hotel in Minamiaso Village, Kumamoto Prefecture. It is located on a refreshing plateau surrounded by the rich natural beauty of Aso-Kuju National Park. The large bath, which offers a framed view of the Aso Five Peaks, is the centerpiece of the stay, and the two baths with different atmospheres are used on a gender-swapping basis. The sodium bicarbonate spring water is slightly slippery to the touch and is cherished as a skin-beautifying bath that leaves the skin moisturized long after you get out. The bath area is also equipped with a dry sauna and a jar-shaped cold plunge bath, allowing guests to relax their bodies as they move back and forth between heat and cold. In addition, there are two private baths with different moods, a lounge with full glass walls overlooking the Aso Five Peaks, and all-inclusive hospitality that includes alcohol at dinner and even a late-night snack. The modern monochrome interior makes this an exceptional hideaway where adults can immerse themselves in tranquility.

A spacious large bath that frames the magnificent scenery of the Aso Five Peaks like a picture window. The sodium bicarbonate spring water has a slight silky feel and gently envelops the skin. After bathing, your skin remains moisturized, bringing deep relaxation to both body and mind. You can fully enjoy an exquisite bath while becoming one with the panoramic grandeur of nature.

Two private baths with different atmospheres, one made of hinoki cypress and the other of Mikage stone. In this private space, you can enjoy high-quality skin-beautifying hot spring water all to yourself without being disturbed by anyone. Surrender yourself to the warmth of the water in silence and spend a luxurious, undisturbed moment with someone special.

A dry sauna attached to the large bath. In this quiet space, you can slowly work up a sweat and step away from the noise of everyday life to focus on yourself. Strong, powerful heat envelops your body and gradually warms you from the core. In the wood-toned interior, you can enjoy a blissful detox experience that brings a deep sense of relaxation.

A jar-shaped cold plunge bath installed right next to the sauna. After your body has been heated to the limit in the sauna, you can firmly cool it down in a private one-person space. The refreshing chill feels pleasant and enhances the invigorating effect of alternating hot and cold bathing. Enjoy a luxurious moment of cooling down in your own private space.
