"Oofunato Onsen" is a hot spring inn in Oofunato City, Iwate Prefecture. Its natural hot spring, heated by burning firewood, is popular for its mellow, gentle feel on the skin. It features an observation large public bath and an observation open-air bath overlooking a sweeping panorama of the Pacific Ocean and Oofunato Bay, where you can luxuriate in the bath surrounded by beautiful scenes such as sunrise and fishing fires. It also offers a carefully prepared medicinal bath that pours in the spring water without filtering it, deeply soothing both body and mind.

Large public bath

A natural hot spring slowly heated with firewood, featuring a soft and mellow feel on the skin. It comes with a spacious observation large public bath and an observation open-air bath, allowing guests to take in the magnificent panorama of Oofunato Bay right before their eyes. There is also a medicinal bath using spring water drawn directly from the property without any filtration, and its rich mineral content gently seeps into the body. After bathing, a salt-based film helps prevent body heat from escaping, keeping you warmly comfortable for a long time.
