"Shotokan" is a hot spring inn in Mitsuhama, Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, with spectacular views of Mt. Fuji. From the observation baths and open-air baths on the top floor, you can take in the beautiful sight of Mt. Fuji, a World Heritage site, across Suruga Bay. The top floor features the observation open-air baths Fuji no Yu and Ashitaka no Yu. Their greatest appeal is the overwhelming panoramic view of Mt. Fuji rising beyond Suruga Bay. Bathing while watching Mt. Fuji change its expression with the time of day and the seasons, or the fishing lights glittering at night, is truly exceptional. The gentle simple hot spring, with little irritation to the skin, soothes travel fatigue and neuralgia in a slow, soothing way.
