About Yutomori Club
Yutomori Club is a forest onsen resort hotel for adults in Zao, Katta District, Miyagi Prefecture. Set in a vast forest within Zao Quasi-National Park, it offers an all-inclusive stay that feels like everyday life as you always wished it could be. The hotel’s two private springs, drawn up within the grounds, supply Togatta Onsen water that wraps the skin softly. You can make your way around the baths of the forest, from an open-air bath beside the mountain stream, fed straight from the source, never recirculated, to the open-air bath of the main bathhouse. The main bathhouse has a spacious, authentic sauna. With a fireplace lounge and a bonfire garden, it is a peaceful retreat where you can give yourself over to the murmur of the stream and sunlight filtering through the trees.

Main bathhouse
The men’s and women’s main bathhouses each have an indoor bath and an open-air bath. Water from the hotel’s own source at Togatta, nearly clear and colorless, wraps the skin softly, and its saline warmth loosens you to the core. Green and light from the trees pour in through large windows, so the forest feels close even from the indoor bath. Step out into the open-air bath, and between the fresh outside air and the rising steam, your soak becomes a forest bath as well.
Mountain-stream open-air bath
An open-air bath beside a mountain stream, at the end of a forest path from the front desk. Its appeal is an overwhelming sense of oneness, wrapped in the murmur of the river flowing right before you and the rich natural forest. Rustling leaves and birdsong mingle with the steam, and as you soak in the fresh, celebrated water fed straight from the source, never recirculated, you spend a luxurious time bathing your whole body in the negative ions of nature.

Sauna
A spacious, authentic sauna in the main bathhouse. Tiers of pale wood spread across the room, and a heat source enclosed in brick warms the whole space evenly. Round lamps on the walls cast soft shadows, and in this quiet room, free of needless effects, you can sweat deeply. Once the heat settles on your skin, a sense of release arrives, as if you were unwinding to the core.

By car
- From Murata Interchange or Shiroishi Interchange on the Tohoku Expressway to Togatta Onsen
- Coming from the Yamagata side, part of the route is a narrow mountain pass. For wider roads, go via Murata Junction and Murata Interchange
- Set your car navigation to Miyagi Zao Eboshi Ski Resort
By train and bus
- JR Sendai Station → Miyako Bus (Miyagi Kotsu) highway bus, about 1 hour 10 minutes
- From JR Shiroishi-Zao Station by bus or taxi
