"Bay Resort Hotel Shodoshima" is a seaside resort hotel in Shodoshima Town, Shozu District, Kagawa Prefecture. From the panoramic public bath on the 12th floor, the top floor in the island, guests can take in sweeping, unobstructed views of the Seto Inland Sea and a sky full of stars. Its precious in-house spring, Shodoshima Onsen, gushes from the grounds and is renowned for its excellent heat-retention and moisturizing effects. In addition to a full-fledged far-infrared sauna, cold plunge bath, and a scenic outdoor bathing area where you can feel the sea breeze, the hotel also features five private open-air baths, each with a different atmosphere.

Yumoto Shodoshima Onsen Miyabi no Yu

A very rare in-house source spring that gushes from 1,600 meters underground on the property and contains abundant iron and carbonic components. Rich in salt, the water warms the body thoroughly from the core and offers excellent heat retention and moisturizing power. It can be enjoyed in the 12th-floor panoramic open-air bath, the glass-walled public bath, and the five log-house-style private open-air baths, all while taking in the breathtaking beauty of the Seto Inland Sea.

A dry sauna located inside the panoramic public bath. The gentle radiant heat from the far-infrared heater slowly warms the body from deep within and encourages plenty of sweating. There is no TV, creating a quiet space where you can calmly work up a sweat while reflecting on the scenery of the Seto Inland Sea. Beat boards, or sauna mats, are also provided for hygienic use.

A compact cold plunge bath located right in front of the sauna. It is kept at a mild temperature that even beginners can enter comfortably and slowly, allowing for a cool-down with less strain on the body. After bathing or sauna use, you can refresh yourself by reclining on the benches in the 12th-floor panoramic open-air bath area, taking in the spectacular views of the Seto Inland Sea and the refreshing sea breeze with your whole body.
