About Myoken Ishiharaso

"Myoken Ishiharaso" is a hot spring ryokan along the Amori River in Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture. It has seven private hot spring sources on the grounds, and the water is drawn directly to the baths as a "living hot spring" with its temperature adjusted by heat exchangers, without adding water or storing it in tanks. The spring quality is a bicarbonate spring, renowned as a skin-beautifying hot spring. Guests can enjoy the exceptionally fresh water in the open-air baths while listening to the river’s murmur, as well as in the carefully designed large public baths. A compact sauna that still lets you work up a solid sweat, along with a gentle cold plunge bath using Kirishima natural water, is also available.

Myoken Ishiharaso no Yu

A fresh natural hot spring drawn to the baths directly from seven self-springing sources on the grounds without ever being exposed to the air. It can be enjoyed as 100% free-flowing water with no added water or heating, with the temperature adjusted only by heat exchangers. This skin-beautifying hot spring has both a soap-like effect that removes old keratin and moisturizing benefits from metasilicic acid. Its rich, silky texture promises a blissful bathing experience.

A compact dry sauna with a calm atmosphere. The gentle heat from the far-infrared stove slowly warms you from the core. Inside, there is a 5-minute sand timer, allowing you to spend quiet time facing yourself. A cold plunge bath with remarkably smooth water quality, using abundant groundwater and mountain water from Kirishima. It is not too cold, and its soft feel against the skin is a defining feature. It gently wraps around your heated body after the sauna and provides a refreshing cool-down experience. Fresh natural water continuously flows in, and its quality is so high that it is even suitable for drinking.
