Chiba Kamogawa City

"Kichimu" is a long-established inn in Kominato Onsen, Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture, renowned for its spectacular views. From the sky garden baths "Seigan no Yu," "Tanjou no Yu," and "Manten no Yu," located 35m above ground, you can take in a sweeping panorama of the Pacific Ocean that feels as if you were floating on the sea itself. The water is a smooth bicarbonate spring known as a "beauty bath," and it has a highly effective skin-smoothing quality. The large public baths, "Kichiyu" and "Yumeyu," are equipped with authentic dry saunas where you can quietly work up a sweat, and right next to "Kichiyu" there is also a cold plunge bath for a crisp, refreshing cool-down. You can enjoy an outdoor bath under the open sky in an outstanding location where you can feel the sea breeze.

Hot Spring & Bath Information

Sky Garden Bath

TypeNatural Hot Spring

An open-air sky garden bath on the top floor, 35m above ground, with a sense of openness so great it feels almost fused with the sea. It uses a mildly alkaline bicarbonate spring, and as a "beauty bath" known for its smooth feel, it helps leave the skin soft and silky. While gazing at the blue Pacific Ocean below, the crimson evening sky, the star-filled night sky, and fishing lights in the distance, you can fully enjoy an exceptional healing soak.

Large Public Bath

TypeNatural Hot Spring

A spacious gender-separated large public bath on the 9th floor. From the large stone bath tubs, you can look out over the beautiful Pacific Ocean of Kominato and the calm harbor scenery below while enjoying a skin-friendly bicarbonate spring. The men’s and women’s baths are switched between 19:00 and 19:30 in the evening, allowing guests to enjoy baths with different atmospheres.

Private Bath

TypeNatural Hot Spring

A luxurious private hot spring bath where families and couples can spend time in privacy. Like the large public bath, it draws in a smooth-textured bicarbonate spring that is good for the skin, and you can fully enjoy a relaxing and indulgent hot spring atmosphere while having the beautiful ocean panorama all to yourself.
