"Yudagami Onsen Hotel Oyanagi" is a hot spring ryokan in Tagami Town, Niigata Prefecture, with sweeping panoramic views of the tranquil countryside of the Echigo Plain from the slightly elevated top floor. Its signature hot spring is the famed Yudagami Onsen (sodium chloride spring), known for keeping you warm long after bathing and offering excellent therapeutic benefits. The public bath saunas differ for men and women: the men's bath features the Bō Sauna with a large window overlooking spectacular scenery and an automatic löyly system, along with a refreshing cold plunge bath; the women's bath features a gentle self-löyly sauna that is kind to the skin and a cold plunge bath with a softer temperature. Luxurious guest rooms are also available, combining sauna, cold plunge bath, open-air hot spring bath, and records.

Panoramic Public Bath and Open-Air Bath

The historic Yudagami Onsen is held in the top-floor public bath on a slightly elevated level. Because the water contains salt, it offers excellent heat retention and bathing benefits, warming you right down to the core and making you less likely to cool off afterward. Its gentle, slightly alkaline feel is pleasant on the skin and helps softly relieve neuralgia and fatigue. From the indoor bath with its large glass windows and the panoramic open-air bath where you can feel the wonderful breeze, you can take in the grand panoramic view of the Echigo Plain.

Guest Room Open-Air Bath

A private open-air bath for guest-room use, located on the exclusive balcony of the TAKUMI-S room. You can enjoy a premium bath experience, with the famous Yudagami Onsen all to yourself and a panoramic view of the Echigo Plain spread out below. This is a luxurious bath where you can savor exquisite water that warms you to the core and stunning scenery in your own private space.

An open, dry sauna with a large window, located in the men's public bath. From the window, you can take in the tranquil rural scenery of the Echigo Plain and beautiful morning skies, making for an exceptional sauna session with breathtaking views. It features an automatic löyly system that delivers dynamic bursts of heat; periodically released waves of moderately humid hot air envelop the body, warming you thoroughly from the core and encouraging a deep sweat. A fan for self-inflicted heat waves is also provided.

Self-Löyly Sauna

Women's

A dry sauna attached to the women's public bath, where you can enjoy self-löyly. The sauna stove is lined with fragrant heat-retaining stones that gently soften the heat, creating a pleasantly soothing room temperature and humidity that feels kind to the skin. At your preferred time, you can perform self-löyly and bathe your whole body in the soft, rich warmth of the steam as it rises gently, allowing you to relax deeply and refresh fully without feeling suffocated.

Men's-Only Cold Plunge Bath

A one-person cold plunge bath placed in the ideal flow, just steps from the men's sauna room. The water is thoroughly chilled by a chiller and is full of refreshing clarity, instantly tightening a body heated to the limit in the automatic löyly sauna. The cold is sharp and wonderfully invigorating. After cooling down, you can sink into an infinity chair in the open-air area and enjoy the ultimate outdoor air bath while feeling the pleasant highland breeze with your whole body.

Women's-Only Cold Plunge Bath

Women's

A compact cold plunge bath set right in front of the women's sauna room. Compared with the men's bath, this one is slightly milder, offering a pleasantly refreshing feel that makes it relatively easy to enter even for sauna beginners or those not used to cold plunge baths. It gently cools down a body warmed by the sauna and helps calm the pulse. In the calm atmosphere of the public bath, you can slowly feel a sense of unity with the water and further enhance relaxation.

A private sauna with self-löyly, fully equipped in the luxurious TAKUMI-S guest room.
