About Kyukamura Myoko

"Kyukamura Myoko" is a highland resort hotel surrounded by beech forests in Myoko City, Niigata Prefecture. The observation hot spring bath on the third floor has large windows and offers a front-facing view of Mt. Myoko, whose appearance changes from fresh greenery to autumn foliage and snowy scenery. The water is a natural hot spring drawn from Seki Onsen, a sodium-calcium chloride spring, and is characterized by its reddish bath sediments. Thanks to the heat-retaining qualities typical of chloride springs, your body stays warm at its core even after you get out. The large bath also has a sauna, which can be used from evening into night. Dinner is a seasonal kaiseki course, while breakfast is a buffet featuring local Niigata dishes. Nestled in the embrace of Myoko-Togakushi Renzan National Park, it is an inn where you can slowly enjoy both hot springs and the mountain atmosphere.

An observation hot spring bath on the third floor of the building. Beyond the large windows lies Mt. Myoko, and while soaking in the water you can watch the mountain scenery shift from fresh greenery to autumn leaves and snowy landscapes. The water is a natural hot spring drawn from Seki Onsen, and the spring quality is sodium-calcium chloride. It contains reddish bath sediments, and thanks to the heat-retaining properties characteristic of chloride springs, your body stays warm deep inside for a long time even after bathing. Because it is circulated and filtered, the water appears nearly colorless, but it is said to help with joint pain, muscle pain, and sensitivity to cold. There is no open-air bath, only indoor baths, with one for men and one for women. The women's bath also has a shampoo bar where guests can choose their preferred shampoo.

A sauna attached to the large bath on the third floor of the building. Use is limited to the evening-to-night hours, making it a place to stop by at the end of a day spent walking around the mountains and highlands of Myoko. In the quiet building, you can slowly take in the heat and let yourself settle into the time until sweat begins to bead on your skin. By moving back and forth between the sauna and the hot spring bath to relax your body, you can welcome the mountain night in comfort.
