About Shikino Yado Minoya

"Shikino Yado Minoya" is a historic hot spring inn with more than 300 years of history, standing at the foot of Mount Yahiko, a sacred peak in Yahiko Village, Niigata Prefecture, just a short walk from Yahiko Shrine. From the renovated panoramic large bath on the 8th floor and the large panoramic open-air baths "Tsukimakura" and "Hoshimakura," you can enjoy spectacular views of Mount Yahiko along with Yahiko Onsen, a famous alkaline simple hot spring known for its exceptionally gentle feel on the skin and excellent skin-beautifying effects. The inn also features a quiet compact sauna with no TV or background music, as well as fully renovated premium rooms with private open-air baths fed by the source, offering a luxurious and relaxing getaway.

A top-floor panoramic open-air bath with an outstanding sense of openness and a full view of Mount Yahiko right in front of you. While soaking in the mildly alkaline famous Yahiko Onsen, you can luxuriously enjoy the changing scenery of the four seasons, from spring cherry blossoms and dazzling summer greenery to beautiful autumn leaves and tranquil winter snowscapes. In the open-air area, cool breezes pass through, and there is a comfortable space where you can stretch out your legs and relax in the outdoor air, offering blissful relaxation.

A dry sauna equipped in the large bath area. The compact room, furnished with L-shaped benches, is a quiet, TV-free space without background music, allowing you to focus calmly on your breathing and the passing of time. The mild heat gently envelops your whole body, warming you from within and encouraging a pleasant sweat. After leaving the sauna, you can cool down gradually with the standing cold shower, then continue on to an outdoor-air bath in the open-air space overlooking Mount Yahiko.
