Hot SpringONSEN

Large public bath

A large public bath where a generous amount of water flows directly from the source, blending multiple springs from Hirayu Onsen. The soft simple hot spring water wraps around the skin like silk, and its gentle texture releases tension from the body. In the open-air bath overlooking the Northern Alps, you can soak while gazing at trees tinted green or snow-covered ridgelines. The indoor bath, fragrant with hinoki cypress, draws from a different spring from the open-air bath, offering a different kind of comfort each time you move from one tub to another.

Sauna & Cold BathSAUNA & COLD BATH

Self-löyly Sauna

In this sauna, gently scented with wood, you pour water onto the sauna stones yourself. The rising steam turns into soft heat that envelops your skin, and as you control the dry heat and humid heat in rhythm with your breathing, your mind and body gradually unwind. When you lower your heated body into the indoor cold plunge bath, a clear chill runs through you and the heat quietly recedes. After getting out, take a deep breath in Okuhida's crisp air and surrender yourself to the stillness of the mountains.
