About Shuhokaku Kogetsu

"Shuhokaku Kogetsu" is a hot spring inn in Fujikawaguchiko Town, Minamitsuru District, Yamanashi Prefecture. From every guest room and the open-air baths, you can enjoy spectacular views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi. The men’s bath features a dry sauna that promotes a deep, thorough sweat, while the women’s bath is equipped with a gentle steam sauna. There is no cold plunge bath, but you can cool off with a cold shower and an open-air bath with a stunning view. The hot spring is a sulfate spring that leaves the skin smooth and soft. With a Mount Fuji-view footbath terrace, private open-air baths, and guest rooms with hot spring baths, you can savor an exquisite private bathing experience and gourmet cuisine to your heart’s content.

Hot SpringONSEN

Public Bath Kawaguchiko Onsen

The large bath area consists of the men’s indoor bath Fujizakura and open-air bath Kurofuji, and the women’s indoor bath Otomezakura and open-air bath Akafuji. The hot spring uses a calcium-sodium sulfate spring and is heated and circulated through a filtration system. While soaking in the bath, you can look out over Lake Kawaguchi directly in front of you, with majestic Mount Fuji beyond it. The men’s bath is themed around the silhouette of Kurofuji floating in the moonlight, while the women’s bath is themed around Akafuji, glowing red in the morning sun, allowing you to feel deeply soothed by Fuji’s beauty as it changes with the time of day.

Private Open-Air Bath Kawaguchiko Onsen

A private open-air bath where you can fully enjoy the hot spring in your own space. There are two baths, Koko and Gekkou, and both offer panoramic views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi all to yourself. "Suigetsu," born from the renewal of the garden terrace in the courtyard. A footbath terrace that draws water from the source of Kawaguchiko Onsen. While soaking your feet in the warm water, you can enjoy the view of Mount Fuji rising before you and the calm scenery of Lake Kawaguchi with a drink in hand. Spending time here while feeling the pleasant breeze is exceptional. Foot bathing while taking in the evening gradation of colors or the refreshing morning air brings graceful relaxation to overnight guests.

A steam sauna attached to the indoor bath in the women’s public bath area. Fine, warm mist gently fills the room, warming the body thoroughly without placing excessive strain on it.
