Saga Karatsu City
A Yobuko deep sea world sauna inspired by whales and squid
"JIN6 Sauna" is a sauna facility located inside Nakao Jinroku Hotel in Karatsu, Saga Prefecture. With the concept of "Yobuko's Deep Sea World," where you can sink into a deeply relaxed state like a whale descending into the deep ocean, the space reflects the culture of Yobuko, nurtured together with the sea. It features three original saunas inspired by whales, squid, and the kilns of Karatsu ware, as well as a cold plunge bath that makes use of an old live fish tank and a glass-walled cold plunge bath floating in midair. There is also a foot and lower-body bath overlooking the harbor, plus an open-air rest space where you can feel the sea breeze, allowing you to fully enjoy the immersive atmosphere and deep relaxation unique to a port town.

A new-style bathing space where you gently warm your feet and lower body while looking out over Yobuko Port, with your upper body cooled by a comfortable sea breeze. The warmth from below and the coolness above create a contrast that adds even greater depth to your post-sauna rest. Wrapped in the calm atmosphere of the port town, you can softly restore balance to your mind and body.

A sauna where you can feel as if you are diving together with a whale traveling through the deep ocean. The sauna space creates an overwhelming sense of immersion, as though you were inside the deep sea or within a whale's belly. Whale spouting-inspired effects and carefully curated music fill the room, allowing you to enjoy a supreme relaxation experience that feels as if your body and mind are slowly sinking into the depths.

An original sauna inspired by Yobuko's famous squid, built with soft curves. Large indoor windows open onto the atmospheric sights of the fishing town and Yobuko Port. löyly with herbs and squid ink carries the scent of the sea, letting you spend a pleasant moment as your mind and body drift gently, as if rocked by the waves.

A stately sauna made from bricks and earth actually used in a Karatsu ware kiln with 400 years of history. It offers a powerful heat experience, as if you yourself had become a vessel being fired inside the kiln. When you perform self-löyly with rapidly circulating Karatsu tea, its toasty, mellow aroma fills the room and promotes deep sweating that engages all five senses.

A unique cold plunge bath created by repurposing equipment that was once used as a squid live tank. It combines the forcefulness of the rough waves of the Genkai Sea with the gentleness of a calm shallow shore. After warming your body to the limit in the sauna, you can cool down dynamically while feeling the pulse of this port town.

A glass-walled cold plunge bath designed to appear as if it is floating in midair, offering sweeping views of the fishing town of Yobuko. As you sink into the water, you are wrapped in a mysterious floating sensation, as if you were drifting in the sky, and can immerse yourself fully in the scenery spread out before you. It is a special cooling-down experience that lets you savor the extraordinary through both sight and bodily sensation.

On the 1F terrace and the 2F observation deck, you can enjoy open-air bathing while feeling the sea breeze and looking out over the sea and port town of Yobuko. Inside the building, the Deep Sea Room is a dim, air-conditioned space that expresses the quiet of the deep sea. If you surrender yourself to the gently swaying water beds and Muatsu beds, you can immerse yourself in an unprecedented level of deep relaxation, as if your breathing were slowly sinking away.
