About Onyado Shikishimakan

"Onyado Shikishimakan" is a hot spring ryokan in Kotohira Town, Nakatado District, Kagawa Prefecture. Facing the approach to Kotohira-gu Shrine, this modern Japanese inn blends a refined traditional atmosphere with contemporary comfort. The large public bath features a cypress indoor bath filled with water from Chikouin Onsen, along with rock and barrel open-air baths and a reclining bath that gently soothes the fatigue from climbing the stone steps. It also has a dry sauna and a cold plunge bath, so alternating between hot and cold leaves your body feeling refreshed and light. Four types of private baths made of bamboo, cypress, rock, and ceramic can be enjoyed free of charge as often as you like, with no reservation required. Other thoughtful touches, such as a foot bath overlooking the approach, ice after your bath, and late-night ramen, are also a delight.
