About Hakkoda Hotel

"Hakkoda Hotel" is a resort hotel in Aomori City, Aomori Prefecture. Located at an elevation of about 900 meters in Towada-Hachimantai National Park, its massive Western-style log structure, one of the largest in Japan, makes a striking impression with lavish use of Oregon pine from the United States. From the hot spring public bath, scented gently with Aomori hiba, you can look out over untouched beech primeval forest like a single painting and feel a deep sense of peace, as if you have become one with nature. It also features a dry sauna and a cold plunge bath filled with clear, icy spring water from Hakkoda, and the fact that it can be used all night is another great point. Guests can enjoy shuttle service to the famous Sukayu Onsen and free bathing at Hiba Sennin-buro and Tama no Yu. You can fully enjoy two different hot spring sources.

Hot SpringONSEN

[Hot Spring Public Bath]

When you open the bath door, the rich fragrance of Aomori hiba fills the hot spring public bath. Beyond the large glass windows stretches a magnificent beech primeval forest, letting you take in the seasonal scenery while soaking in the tub. The acidic in-house spring is adjusted with added water to a comfortable temperature, and its bold, deeply penetrating water texture is one of its defining features. You can enjoy a quiet, luxurious bathing experience, as if held in nature’s embrace.
