「Spa Resort Ogoto Agaryanse」 - A Visit
🔥 Sauna Room 95℃
❄️ Cold Plunge 14℃
Having 'sauna' as a travel destination is truly wonderful. Because the most pleasant time awaits you.
This day too, the ultimate pleasure welcomed me. The previous day, after refreshing at 'Chomeiji Onsen Amaha-no-Yu,' I stayed in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture. I savored exquisite cuisine at 'Sennari-tei Omi Beef Daidai' on Kurokabe Street, then entered the hotel sauna again and slept soundly. On this day, combining sightseeing, I headed toward Ogoto Onsen while visiting spots I had researched beforehand.
I arrived at 'Spa Resort Ogoto Agaryanse' before noon. Imagining the perfect flow of 'first entering the hot spring, then perhaps eating some yakiniku,' I completed the reception and headed to the large bath. There are various baths available. The sauna room and cold bath are right in front. Even without entering, you can tell from other customers' expressions that it feels incredibly good. Suppressing my rising excitement, I decided to first grasp the overall layout. As my personal rule, when visiting a facility for the first time, I always check all the bathtubs and flow lines first. Without knowing where everything is, ultimate relaxation cannot be achieved. At the stage when the check was completed, I was convinced of success. One of the reasons was the outdoor bath with a panoramic view of Lake Biwa. A space where everyone could relax naked while looking at the lake spread out before us.
First, I warmed my body in the carbonated spring and natural hot spring while gazing at Lake Biwa. Perhaps due to the quality of Ogoto Onsen's spring water, I became quite warm. I felt like I could enter the cold bath without even using the sauna. After taking a light water shower, I headed to the sauna. It's quite spacious with a pleasant aroma spreading throughout. The temperature and humidity are perfect.
After the sauna, I headed to the 14°C cold bath. The cold bath is deep and wide. It chills the body heated by the sauna to the bone. Then, outdoor air bathing in the open-air bath. Gazing at Lake Biwa and closing my eyes... it seems I dozed off at some point. The feeling was so pleasant that I achieved totonou for 6 sets. 3 sets before lunch, then after a nap, 3 more sets in the evening. I need nothing more. My body feels absolutely amazing. Food tastes delicious. I can sleep soundly. With this, it's as if I've obtained everything necessary for a happy life.
