Gifu Kakamigahara City
Blessing Hot Spring Megumi no Yu is a day-use bathing facility in Kakamigahara, Gifu Prefecture, specializing in medicinal and aromatic herbs. Its high-temperature sauna, one of the largest in the prefecture, offers löyly, and guests can savor the scent and steam of seasonal, on-site grown fresh herb löyly. The cold plunge bath uses Kakamigahara's natural water in a free-flowing system, delivering a gentle chill that richly supports the transition from heat. The variety of herbal baths is extensive, creating a simple, coherent flow of fragrance, heat, water, and rest. It is an ideal base for a quietly restorative herb × sauna experience for body and mind.
Equipped with one of the largest high-temperature saunas in the prefecture for both men and women. It offers Finnish-style löyly, enveloping the body in aromatic steam that induces rapid perspiration. The 'Fresh Herb Löyly' using herbs from our own farm is also held, allowing you to enjoy seasonal aromas.
The bath uses mineral-rich natural water containing trace amounts of carbon dioxide, supplied in a free-flowing system. Its soft feel is gentle on the skin and firmly tightens the heat after a sauna. Notices indicate that submersion is permitted after sufficient rinsing, allowing for a deep cool-down. It is a luxurious single pool that showcases the texture of the natural water.
