Capsule Inn Osaka (New Japan Umeda Branch) is a male-only capsule hotel and sauna & spa complex located in the heart of Umeda, Osaka, in Douyama-cho. It inherits the design by architect Kisho Kurokawa, known for the world's first capsule hotel, offering a space where you can enjoy accommodation, sauna, and spa seamlessly. Guests can use the facilities in their lounge wear, and the freedom to go shopping after check-in without curfew is a major attraction.
Automatic löyly every 30 minutes sends powerful waves of air through the room, making you sweat instantly. This high-temperature zone lets you thoroughly detox sweat and impurities. The spacious capacity allows comfortable use even during busy times. There are days with whisking service and aufguss. Ideal for those who want to work up a serious sweat.
A Finnish sauna located on the 3F open-air bath floor. Enjoy the liberating feeling of the outdoor zone exposed to fresh air. You can adjust humidity to your preference with self-löyly. Open from 8:00 to 26:00. Combine it with the hinoki-fragranced cypress bath and a barrel-shaped cold plunge bath to totoneu.
A sauna on the 2F. Self-löyly is available so you can adjust humidity and temperature to your liking. This low-temperature zone lets you warm up slowly and comfortably. Relax at your own pace while timing your session with an hourglass or a sauna timer.
Features a starry ceiling, carefully selected BGM, and calming aromas. This low-temperature sauna lets you sweat gently and slowly. Automatic löyly every 30 minutes disperses steam even in the low-temperature setting. The heat is gentle, so you can stay longer without feeling breathless. Calm lighting creates a meditative atmosphere.
The mist-style sauna opens pores and helps expel impurities. Indoors, it is equipped with a cold plunge bath and a foot bath, allowing you to enjoy the sauna and cold plunge in the same space. The humid heat, different from high-temperature dry saunas, envelops the body. You get a moist, steady sweating experience.
The Shichifukujin cold plunge bath located on 1F. Slightly warmer water temperature allows for a relaxed soak. Rather than an intense chill, it offers a moderate coolness suitable for extended cooldowns. The water depth is medium, so you can relax with bent knees or by sitting on the edge.
The manager's special cold plunge bath. Kept at a cold temperature that snaps you awake. The deeper water depth lets you fully submerge. It cools a heated body quickly, and the sharp cold sensation helps you achieve totonou. Combined with the waterfall feature, it delivers outstanding refreshment.
A cold plunge bath adjacent to the 2F spa zone. Can be used after the spa or post-sauna. Moderately cold, allowing you to cool down gradually. As part of the spacious spa area, you can enjoy a relaxed cooldown.
A barrel-shaped cold plunge bath on the 3F open-air bath floor. Compact, single-person size lets you focus on cooling down. The outdoor setting offers a unique sense of openness, allowing you to totoneu while exposed to fresh air. Located close to the Finnish sauna and the hinoki bath.
