Tenku SPA HILLS Ryusenji no Yu is a day-use onsen bathhouse in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture. This renowned name, known as the birthplace of the super sento and of the strongly carbonated bath, draws visitors with superb views from its hilltop and its wide range of amenities. The saunas include the Bazooka Löyly Sauna, where fierce blasts of hot air roar through the room, and the Medi Sauna, where you can enjoy löyly you pour yourself in silence, while an ultra-cold plunge with water below 10°C (50°F) delivers the ultimate cool-down. In the panoramic open-air bath overlooking the Nagoya cityscape, you can savor the soft feel of the alkaline simple spring. There are also a variety of warm-stone rooms, a lounge stocked with books and a booth area where you can stay overnight, so from morning to night you can spend supremely relaxing time however you please.

A spacious panoramic open-air bath that makes the most of its elevation, looking out over the Nagoya cityscape and its beautiful night view. The soft feel of the alkaline simple spring envelops the skin as you spend blissful moments taking in the view. At night, dreamy lighting effects are added for an out-of-the-ordinary bathing experience.
Indoor strongly carbonated bath
The signature strongly carbonated bath, said to have originated at Ryusenji no Yu. Fine carbon dioxide dissolved in the water envelops your whole body, promoting circulation and warming you to the core. Along with a silky-smooth feel on the skin, it brings a deep relaxing effect.
Open-air carbonated bath
An open-air bath where you can enjoy the signature strongly carbonated bath while feeling the outdoor air. In a pleasant breeze, you can leisurely savor the sensation of carbonated bubbles popping against your skin.

Bazooka Löyly Sauna
A high-temperature sauna known for its signature Bazooka Löyly, which starts at regular intervals. Powerful blasts of hot air roar through the room, and sweat bursts from your whole body all at once. In this spacious room you can fully enjoy the fierce heat and an exhilarating sweat.
Medi Sauna
A sauna themed on meditation, tucked quietly away in the outdoor area. You can pour löyly yourself, adjusting the humidity to your liking. In a space wrapped in silence, body and mind are guided into a state of deep relaxation.
Salt sauna
A women-only salt sauna with a mud pack always on hand. Spreading salt on your body and sweating slowly clears dirt from the pores and leaves the skin smooth. Combined with the mud pack, it lets you care for the skin of your whole body while enjoying a pleasant warmth.

Ultra-cold plunge
An ultra-cold plunge whose appeal is its bracing chill, with the water set below 10°C (50°F). It instantly cools a body heated to the limit by the Bazooka Löyly. A piercing chill pulls the whole body taut and deepens the totonou, the state of deep relaxation, that comes afterward as you cool off in the open air.
Forest cold plunge
A cold plunge that wraps the body gently in a pleasant chill. You can also alternate between it and the ultra-cold plunge, savoring a gradient of cool-downs to suit how you feel and what you like.

Healing Space forest villa
A soothing area with warm-stone rooms on a variety of themes, starting with the women-only aroma salt room and including aroma ondol, aroma germanium & beauty and a hanjeungmak (Korean-style kiln sauna). Wrapped in the scent of natural aromas, you warm slowly to the core and detox. A cooling room, a library lined with a wealth of books and a workspace are also provided, so you can spend the whole day however you please.

- About 8 minutes from Matsukawado IC on the Nagoya Second Ring Expressway (from the west side of Nagoya: turn left at the Obata IC Nishi intersection on Ring Road No. 2)
