Located in Nishikyo-ku, Kyoto City, 'Kyoto Takenosato Onsen Manyo no Yu' is a hot spring resort facility (adjacent hotel: Hotel Kyoto Eminence) that offers accommodation. It features a bathing facility with two types of natural hot springs known for their skin-beautifying properties. The facility is open 24 hours and provides outdoor baths, indoor baths, high-concentration carbonated baths, authentic saunas, cold plunge baths, stone saunas, dining, and relaxation areas all in one place. It caters to tourists, long stays, and sauna enthusiasts.
Sourced from a simple hot spring at around 41°C, the low-tonicity and alkaline nature of the water provides a soft bathing sensation that envelops the skin. Upon immersion, the skin surface becomes smooth, and the warmth lingers long after bathing. The source water is also used in the washing area taps and showers, allowing you to fully enjoy the quality of the water.
The other source is a sodium bicarbonate spring. The carbonated water creates bubbles on the surface, providing a 'soft cold mineral spring' sensation that adheres to the skin. The second source is utilized in a variety of bath types, allowing you to enjoy the differences in the hot springs as 'beauty skin baths'.
Offers a dry sauna set at around 95°C. This high-temperature environment promotes thorough sweating and is equipped with amenities such as TV, towels, and sauna hats.
Designed by cooling the second source of sodium bicarbonate spring to create a cold plunge bath. Adjusted to approximately 17°C, this natural hot spring cold bath allows you to feel a 'softness' not found in other facilities' cold baths.
