Kawanakajima Onsen Terme DOME is a natural hot spring facility in Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture. You can enjoy chloride spring water drawn directly from the source, flowing from 1,250 m underground. The main building features a large tower sauna with auto löyly, along with a deep cold plunge bath filled with flowing groundwater that allows diving. In the annex, there is the women-and-men shared Music löyly Sauna and a rock bath, where you can enjoy an entertainment-focused hot-cold alternating bath experience all day long.
A sodium-calcium chloride spring containing iodide, gushing from 1,250 m underground. You can enjoy the abundant source water in the indoor large bath and the open-air bath, both flowing directly from the source. Because the water contains salt, it retains heat well, and the warmth continues even after you get out. It is colorless, clear, and easy to enjoy, and soaking in it deeply helps soothe everyday fatigue.
A therapeutic bath infused with carbon dioxide. With its mildly warm temperature, it allows for long bathing sessions without putting strain on the body. When you soak in the water, fine bubbles surround your entire body, helping promote circulation and giving you a gentle, deep-down warmth.
A spacious tower-style sauna with 7 tiers. Multiple stoves are installed so heat spreads evenly throughout the large room. Regular auto löyly keeps the humidity at a comfortable level, creating a mild heat that does not feel overly stifling. You can choose the level of heat that suits you, from intense heat on the top tier to a slower, more gradual warming on the lower tiers.
A salt sauna exclusive to the women’s bath area. By gently rubbing the salt provided in the room onto your body, it helps remove dead skin cells and dirt from the pores more easily. With its gentle temperature setting, you can work up a good sweat at a relaxed pace, and after bathing you can enjoy a smooth, soft feeling on your skin.
A cold plunge bath that uses flowing groundwater. The water is soft and gentle on the skin, so you can cool down comfortably with little of the sharp sting that some cold baths have. It is deep enough to fully submerge your body. Diving is allowed, which is a welcome feature for sauna lovers because you can cool your head all the way down.
