About Joso ONSEN&SAUNA Oyumusubi
Joso ONSEN&SAUNA Oyumusubi is a day-use onsen bathhouse in Joso, Ibaraki Prefecture. Its greatest draw is a sauna area, among the largest in the Kanto region, that men and women enjoy together in swimsuits. Eight distinctive rooms range from a large sauna with a projector to a log-cabin-style room that can be booked privately and a steam room. The main bathhouse on the ground floor, where you relax unclothed, also has an automatic aroma löyly sauna, and a cold plunge of natural groundwater cools you down crisply. To finish, an alkaline natural onsen that is soft to the touch and a strongly carbonated bath of source water warm the body to the core. With a restaurant serving a full range of sauna meals and relaxation services on site, you can refresh to your heart’s content amid farmland.

Main Bathhouse
An open-air bath that makes lavish use of its own source, drilled on the grounds. The alkaline natural onsen is very soft to the touch and gently envelops the body. After bathing, a light, refreshing feeling remains and you can feel your skin become smooth. A blissful place to bathe, taking in nature’s gifts with your whole body as you feel the outside air.
Strongly Carbonated Bath of Source Water
A luxurious indoor bath of natural onsen water with carbon dioxide dissolved in at high concentration. Fine bubbles envelop the whole body and warm you gently to the core. Its warming effect is strong, and the cozy warmth lasts long after bathing. With the combined effect of the onsen minerals and the carbonation, you can feel the fatigue of daily life slowly unwinding.

A dry sauna whose draw is automatic löyly with aroma water every hour. A pleasant scent spreads through the calm room and draws a thorough sweat from the whole body. Designed with a shallow part and a deep part, it lets you enjoy a refreshing cool-down that envelops your whole body at the depth you prefer.

A hall sauna, the most spacious room in the bathhouse. Large windows look out over peaceful farmland, so you can unwind at leisure with a sense of openness. Lying down in the sauna to warm the whole body evenly is also recommended. During events using the big-screen projector, the heat and sense of togetherness rise even higher for a special sauna experience.
Honoo-musubi
A sauna with a striking, heavy black interior, where you feel the most powerful heat of the upstairs area. The thoroughly heated room brings on a refreshing sweat even in a short time. The cold plunge sits just outside the sauna door, a perfectly calculated classic route for cooling a body heated to its limit all at once.
Mori-musubi
A log-cabin-style sauna wrapped in the warmth of wood. It can be booked for private use, so you can lose yourself in the sauna in a space of your own without minding anyone else. Whisking is also available, and the scent of the plants and their pleasant stimulation bring deep relief. When it is not booked, it is open to everyone, with a calm like being in a quiet forest.
Jo-musubi
A steam room that combines powerful steam with a blower. The rich scent of spices and herbs fills the room, and every breath spreads a sense of comfort. You can also pour cold water over yourself inside the room to cool only the surface of the body, keeping the heat in your core and extending your stay. You warm up slowly without strain and make the most of totonou (a state of deep relaxation).
Wabi-musubi and Masu-musubi
Compact saunas with a drink counter. You can sip a drink you have brought in and sweat at your own pace. Open the small window and you can watch the events held in the neighboring En-musubi, enjoying sauna and entertainment at the same time, as if from a VIP seat.
Tsuya-musubi
A bright, clean sauna built around white wood. It has semi-private seats and bench seats, arranged with privacy in mind so you never meet the eyes of the person opposite. A pleasant room where you can slip into a world of your own and quietly sit with the heat, without minding anyone around you.
Rin-musubi
A sauna marked by tiered box seats. Partitions let you lose yourself in the sauna as if in a semi-private room. The felt temperature changes with where and on which tier you sit, so you can choose the heat that suits how you feel and what you like that day. From your own best seat, you can enjoy a quiet time of sweating.

Sauna Area: Cold Plunge and Cooling Off in the Open Air
A natural groundwater cold plunge at the center of the sauna area. It cools the heat built up to the limit in the sauna in one go and awakens a clear sensation. The mellow quality peculiar to groundwater sits pleasantly on the skin and markedly lifts the quality of alternating between sauna and cold water. Together with the adjacent cooling room, it makes for a blissful cool-down.
