Hitachinaka Onsen Kirari Bettei is a day-use onsen bathhouse for guests of elementary school age and older. It offers a soothing space where you can spend unhurried time, with an open-air bath overlooking rural scenery, warm-stone rooms, a sauna and a restaurant serving house-made soba.

A wonderfully open natural onsen, with views over the countryside through the seasons and the distant cityscape of Mito. You can savor the sodium–bicarbonate and chloride spring lavishly, fed straight from the source and never recirculated, and its soft feel gently envelops the skin.

A true sauna where far-infrared heat penetrates powerfully deep into the body. Automatic löyly runs at regular intervals, spreading pleasant steam through the room and bringing on a refreshing sweat.

An open warm-stone lounge with a bulgama, where heat from a fire kiln slowly warms you, and several kinds of mineral stones such as black germanium and bakuhanseki. Making your way around its many areas, including honeycomb-like private nooks and an ondol with pleasant underfloor heating, men and women can enjoy detoxing together in loungewear. In the cooling room the cold pulls your flushed body taut, and you can spend the finest hours relaxing at leisure in the rest area.
