About Yurakunosato Hitachi
"Yurakunosato Hitachi" is a day-use bathing facility in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture. The bathtubs line the elevated open-air baths, and if you lower your gaze as you soak, the surface of the water and the Pacific Ocean appear as one continuous expanse, with your view opening all the way to the horizon. Bathing while listening to the sound of the waves is an experience you can only enjoy here. There is also a panoramic pot bath you can have all to yourself, as well as a reclining bath where you can lie back on a floor over which a thin layer of hot water flows, letting you keep gazing at the sea from different positions. The sauna bears the name of the "panoramic" view, and at set times aromatic steam fills the room. The indoor baths include a high-concentration carbonated spring with bubbles that cling to the skin, and a milky-white silk bath, while the facility also offers a bedrock bath laid with germanium ore. In front of the entrance, a free foot bath is available from April through October, quietly welcoming visitors.

Lower your gaze and sink in up to your shoulders, and the surface of the water and the sea become one continuous expanse, with your view opening out toward the horizon. Only the sound of the rolling waves echoes, and your sense of time gradually fades. There is also a pot bath you can enjoy all by yourself, as well as a reclining bath where you lie back on a floor over which a thin layer of hot water flows, allowing you to keep gazing at the sea from different positions.
High-Concentration Carbonated Spring
A high-concentration carbonated spring set in the indoor bath. If you sit quietly in the lukewarm water, fine bubbles cling to your skin one after another, and before long your whole body takes on a faint flush. Even though it does not feel hot, warmth rises from within, and you can feel the blood circulating all the way to your fingertips. Because it warms the body without placing a burden on it, it is also a pleasant place to catch your breath between the sauna and the baths.

Panoramic löyly Sauna
A löyly sauna named for its "panoramic" view, with an open sightline from the interior toward the sea. When aromatic water is poured over the heated sauna stones, steam scented with fragrance rises with a hiss, and the intensified heat wraps around the skin. After working up a sweat while gazing at the horizon, head to the cold water bath. The heightened heat ebbs away like a falling tide, leaving only a crisp sensation on the skin. Once your breathing settles, step out to the open-air area, where the sea breeze brushes over your damp skin and, together with the sound of the waves, leads you into a quiet lingering afterglow.
Hot Stone SpaHOT STONE SPA
Germanium Bedrock Bath
A bedrock bath filled with gentle heat, laid with bedrock stones containing rare germanium. You can spend time here together with both men and women while wearing the provided special attire, and simply lying down allows the heat to slowly reach deep into your core, with sweat seeping out silently. Because it is not stifling, even drowsiness can loosen stiffness away. You can repeat the cycle of warming up and resting without worrying about the time.
