Full renovation of the men's sauna in autumn 2025! Authentic HARVIA stoves and two types of cold plunge baths

Dogo Saya Onsen Yurara Main Building is a well-equipped super sento in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture. In November 2025 the men's sauna area was fully renovated, introducing two HARVIA LEGEND stoves that provide both self-löyly and automatic löyly. The facility also added two types of cold plunge baths, a 15°C ultra-cold bath and a 20°C natural groundwater continuous-flow bath, and a new outdoor relaxation area. The women's side is equipped with a high-temperature far-infrared sauna, and every tub uses luxurious natural hot spring water drawn from 1,000 meters underground.

A sodium-chloride hot spring sourced from 1,000 meters underground supplies all baths, including the main indoor bath, open-air baths, and the shape-up bath, letting you enjoy the natural benefits luxuriously. The water is gentle on skin and helps prevent getting chilled after bathing. The same spring water is used in the free foot bath Omotenashi no Yu, which guests can easily visit before or after bathing.

The men's dry sauna is an L-shaped, four-tier tower with stadium-style seating that accommodates about 25 people. Two HARVIA LEGEND stoves sit at the front, allowing guests to enjoy rich steam and heat waves via both self-löyly and automatic löyly. Room temperature is approximately 80–90°C. The women's side features a high-temperature far-infrared sauna set to about 85–90°C, also offering a spacious area that holds about 20–25 people.

On the men's side there are two cold plunge baths: a roughly 15°C ultra-cold plunge and a roughly 20°C natural groundwater continuous-flow plunge. Both are relatively deep at 60–80 cm, allowing immersion up to the ears. It is convenient to choose the water temperature according to your mood or condition. After the cold plunge, you can refresh in the newly added outdoor relaxation area, which is equipped with eight chairs for totonou.
