"Shinshu Matsukawa Onsen Seiryuen" is a town-operated lodging and wellness facility in Matsukawa Town, Shimoina District, Nagano Prefecture. It is conveniently located about 3 minutes by car from the Matsukawa IC on the Chuo Expressway, yet offers a spectacular panorama of the Southern Alps. Its pride is a collection of distinctive baths, including an indoor bath, a rustic open-air bath, and a cypress barrel bath, where you can fully enjoy the skin-friendly alkaline simple hot spring. The sauna features a state-of-the-art stove with an herbal aroma humidifying function, allowing you to enjoy blissful sweating in a comfortable temperature and high humidity. It also offers a cool cold water bath poured in through a long gutter and a well-equipped outdoor relaxation space overlooking the clear skies of the Southern Alps.

An alkaline simple hot spring with an excellent alkaline quality of pH9.0. The moment you step into the water, your skin feels silky and moisturized, and its gentle bathing sensation is a defining feature. You can enjoy the fresh hot spring in the spacious indoor observation bath of the large public bath, the rustic open-air bath with rocks, and the cypress barrel bath. In the open-air area, reclining beds are lined up, allowing for an exceptional outdoor air bath while gazing up at the unobstructed natural scenery and the stunning views of the Southern Alps.

A sauna room that evokes a wooden log-house-style sauna kota, set in the open-air area. Through the large glass window, you can take in the majestic mountains of the Southern Alps and the surrounding nature. It uses a far-infrared gas stove with an aroma humidifying function (Sun Burning Co.'s Herbal Sauna), creating a high-humidity space wrapped in a pleasant temperature and the rich scent of herbs. You can deeply relax while slowly working up a sweat.

An open, refreshing cold water bath installed right next to the sauna room in the open-air area. Fresh, well-chilled water is continuously fed through a long gutter, keeping the water temperature low. Gentle and smooth on the skin, it quickly cools down your body after intense heat from the sauna.
