"Kurobe Kanko Hotel" is the most historic hot spring inn in Omachi Onsenkyo, Nagano Prefecture. The large bath features two main bathing areas, Ishi no Yu, which incorporates beautiful serpentinite from the Northern Alps, and Ki no Yu, which is scented with gentle cypress. Its spacious indoor baths, filled with a sense of openness, are the largest in Omachi Onsenkyo. Each bath also has an atmospheric open-air bath. The sauna is a dry sauna called Mori no Sauna, located in the open-air area, where you can warm up gently while surrounded by nature. Right in front of the sauna room is an exceptionally cold cold plunge bath fed by free-flowing spring water from the Northern Alps, delivering an overwhelming cool-down experience found nowhere else.
A mildly alkaline simple hot spring with a soft feel, brought in from the famous Kuzu Onsen. In the luxurious indoor bath, the largest in Omachi Onsenkyo, and in the atmospheric open-air bath surrounded by magnificent nature that changes with the seasons, you can soak leisurely in superb hot spring waters while experiencing the nature of the Northern Alps with all five senses.
A tasteful dry sauna installed outdoors in the open-air area. This quiet space features gentle background music, and you can enjoy a relaxed moment of rest as you gaze out at the trees from the window, wrapped in the warmth of wood, almost as if you were deep in a green forest.
Just one step out of Mori no Sauna, this superb cold plunge bath is installed right next to the open-air area. It is lavishly filled with free-flowing spring water from the Northern Alps, and its intensely cold water sharply and instantly tightens your heated body, creating a truly refreshing experience.
