"Happu Onsen" is a day-use hot spring facility in Karuizawa Town, Kitasaku District, Nagano Prefecture. Located within the spacious grounds of Le Grand Karuizawa Hotel & Resort, it offers a classical and beautiful atmosphere reminiscent of a European villa. Its natural hot spring water, a bicarbonate spring renowned as one of the three most beautiful skin-enhancing spring types, feels exceptionally gentle on the skin and leaves it feeling moist and hydrated after bathing. In the open-air area, there is a cottage-style high-temperature dry sauna wrapped in quiet and a cool cold plunge bath, and the forest bath while enjoying the clear Karuizawa breeze is exceptional.

A spacious, top-class public bath filled with sodium chloride and bicarbonate spring water, one of the three most beautiful skin-enhancing spring types. The smooth, mellow water wraps the skin gently, leaving it remarkably soft and smooth after bathing. In addition to the spacious indoor bath, where light streams in through large windows, there is a richly atmospheric large open-air bath with natural stones and a Goemon-style pot bath, allowing for long soaks while relaxing to panoramic seasonal views.

An outdoor dry sauna with a mountain lodge-like appearance, located next to the open-air area of the main bath. The silent room has no TV and is filled with the gentle heat of far-infrared rays, slowly warming the body from within and encouraging a comfortable sweat. It is an extremely calm, adult-oriented environment wrapped in silence. From the windows, you can look out over the lush natural scenery and enjoy a meditative moment that feels like a forest bath.

A cool outdoor cold plunge bath installed right near the sauna room in the open-air area. It lets you quickly cool your heated body while breathing in Karuizawa's crisp air. The water is gentle on the skin and provides a refreshing reset after the heat. After cooling down, you can enjoy an exceptional outdoor relaxation session on the wood deck, where you can stretch out in a totonou chair and feel the breeze beneath the wide sky and greenery of the trees.
