About Hotel Fuki no Mori

"Hotel Fuki no Mori" is a hidden hot spring inn in the mountains of Nagano Prefecture, in Minamimaki, Kiso District. Located deep in the mountains, completely cut off from the hustle and bustle of the city, it offers a starlit terrace where, at night, the city lights never reach. Its alkaline simple sulfur cold mineral spring, drawn from Takimi Onsen, has an astonishingly smooth, silky feel and is renowned as a beauty-enhancing bath. The bathing area is equipped with a beautiful all-hinoki dry sauna and a cold plunge bath that is gentle and pleasant on the skin. The refreshing forest bathing air that flows through the wooden terrace soothes both body and mind from the roots up.

This large public bath uses its own natural spring water drawn from Takimi Onsen, an alkaline simple sulfur cold mineral spring, without stint. The water has an exceptionally smooth, silky texture, described as very "thick and slippery," and is highly praised as a beauty-enhancing bath that leaves the skin soft and smooth after bathing. You can fully enjoy the superb natural hot spring in the atmospheric indoor baths made with Kiso hinoki and kaya, the open-air bath surrounded by forest with seasonal scenery unfolding before you, and the jacuzzi.

A luxurious dry sauna made entirely of hinoki, surrounded by the abundant nature of Kiso. There is no TV, and the quiet, relaxed atmosphere is filled with the gentle warmth of far-infrared heat, while the noble aroma of hinoki fills the room. Although mild and free of any stifling sensation, the heat penetrates deeply into the body, allowing you to enjoy a pleasantly gradual and high-quality sweat.

All-Hinoki Dry Sauna

A luxurious dry sauna made entirely of hinoki, with the fragrant aroma of hinoki filling the entire room. In this extremely quiet space without a TV, you can slowly relax body and mind while enveloped in the gentle heat of far-infrared rays. You can warm up deeply and comfortably to the core, forget the hustle and bustle of the city, and spend a meditative and luxurious time detoxing.

A cold water bath in a wood-tub style, sized for one person, installed right in front of the sauna room. It is filled with pure water unique to a cold mineral spring area, with a smooth feel and a hint of viscosity. It gently, yet firmly, tightens skin heated by the sauna. After leaving the cold bath, head to the open-air wooden terrace or deck space. You can enjoy forest bathing at its finest while listening to birdsong and the clear mountain breeze, and at night, take in the breathtaking star-filled sky.

A smooth cold water bath installed next to the sauna room, sized for one person. The pure water pleasantly envelops your heated body and cools you down refreshingly. After gently tightening the skin, an open-air area surrounded by lush green forest awaits, where you can feel the pleasant wind blowing through the mountains while enjoying a meltingly soothing forest bathing experience.
