About Modern Yujō Only You
"Modern Yujō Only You" is a day-use hot spring facility nestled deep in the forests of Minamiashigara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, with a concept centered on harmony with nature. Its highly alkaline simple spring water, drawn from deep underground, is a silky, skin-softening "beauty bath." The sauna lineup includes the "Vihta Sauna," equipped with auto-löyly and filled with the scent of vihta, as well as the men's open-air "Ruska Sauna," which offers self-löyly and overlooks the river, and the newly added "BARREL SAUNA" in the women's open-air area. With a gentle cold plunge bath using natural water from the Hakone water system, plus outdoor relaxation areas where you can feel the forest air and the murmur of the river with your whole body, this is a profoundly immersive experience you simply cannot find in the city, allowing both body and mind to be deeply soothed.
Hot SpringONSEN
Forest Open-Air Bath
An open-air bath where you can enjoy forest bathing and hot spring bathing at the same time, surrounded by broadleaf woodland and immersed in nature. The mildly warm temperature is easy on the body, allowing for long soaks. With the murmur of the river and birdsong as your background music, you can slowly surrender yourself to the silky "beauty bath" and feel the tension in both body and mind melt away deeply.
Indoor Bath
A spacious indoor bath filled with natural light streaming through large windows. Highly alkaline simple sulfur spring water flows generously, letting you enjoy a "beauty bath" that gently removes old dead skin cells and leaves the skin smooth. It is also ideal for warming up before the sauna or reheating your body after outdoor relaxation, offering a leisurely moment of comfort.
SaunaSAUNA
Vihta Sauna
This authentic high-temperature sauna is pleasantly scented with homemade vihta made from shirakashi trees grown on the premises. Equipped with an auto-löyly system, it delivers powerful heat that stimulates the entire body and encourages deep sweating. The compact room circulates heat efficiently, and its strong settings will satisfy even dedicated sauna enthusiasts, offering a truly authentic Finnish-style sauna experience.
Ruska Sauna
A sauna hut installed in the men's open-air area where self-löyly is available. Through the large windows, you can look out over the flow of the Kazusa River and the lush forest scenery, creating a sense of becoming one with nature through the seasons. Pour water over the sauna stones at your own pace, adjust the humidity and heat, and spend a meditative time quietly facing yourself.
BARREL SAUNA
A newly installed barrel-shaped sauna in the women's open-air area. Its circular structure allows heat to circulate efficiently, warming the entire body gently and evenly. In a private-feeling space wrapped in the warmth and scent of wood, you can relax at an easy pace and enjoy sauna time while feeling the forest air.
Cold BathCOLD BATH
Cold Plunge Bath
A cold plunge bath that lavishly uses "Kinran Water," natural water drawn from deep underground in the Hakone water system. Its texture is exceptionally soft, gently cooling down a body heated by the sauna as if wrapping it in comfort. With water so pure it can even be drunk, you can enjoy a blissful cool-down time while feeling the blessings of nature throughout your whole body.
