"Sansuikakan Kinyu" is a long-established onsen ryokan in Kanzanji Onsen, Chuo Ward, Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. With a history spanning more than 100 years since its founding in Taisho 8, it is a beloved inn known for superb kaiseki cuisine rooted in its origins as a kappo restaurant. In the large indoor bath, built entirely of Japanese cypress, guests can enjoy the natural hot spring of sodium-calcium chloride high-salinity water, with heating, dilution, and circulation, all while being enveloped in the rich fragrance of hinoki. The property also features an open-air stone bath overlooking the inner waters of Lake Hamana and Mt. Ogasayama, a Shigaraki-ware open-air bath, and a free private family open-air bath, allowing guests to spend quiet moments while taking in the beautiful lake view.

Large Public Bath, Kanzanji Onsen

A luxurious large indoor bath built entirely of Japanese cypress, where over 100 years of history come alive. The moment you step inside, the noble fragrance of hinoki drifts through the air, and you can fully enjoy the famous strong-salt spring of Kanzanji Onsen while wrapped in the warmth of wood. In the open-air area, there is a superbly open stone bath and a Shigaraki-ware bath, both offering a view of the inner waters of Lake Hamana and the rich nature of Mt. Ogasayama right in front of you. The temperature of each tub is adjusted separately, so you can enjoy bathing at your preferred heat while savoring the lake view, which changes beautifully with time.

Two private open-air baths reserved for overnight guests, located on the third floor of the building: Tsuki no Yu and Hi no Yu. From a different perspective than the large public bath, guests can enjoy the peaceful scenery of Lake Hamana and a quiet, private bathing experience. Tsuki no Yu is barrier-free, making it safe and comfortable for families with small children as well as seniors. Families or loved ones can spend a relaxing time together in complete privacy.
