About Mikawawan Hills Hotel

"Mikawawan Hills Hotel" is a spectacular spa hotel in Higashihazu-cho, Nishio City, Aichi Prefecture. Standing near the summit of Mount Mikane, it offers a dramatic panorama of the calm Mikawa Bay, the surrounding islands, and, at night, the sparkling cityscape of Gamagori stretching out below. Both of the gender-swapping observation baths, Tenkei and Shikisai, are equipped with saunas, including a strong convection dry sauna that reaches an astonishingly high temperature, and an infrared sauna that lets you work up a deep sweat. After the sauna, you can refresh yourself in a pleasant cold plunge bath, available only at Tenkei, or enjoy a luxurious outdoor bath while gazing at the vast ocean panorama spread out below, leading you into a blissful state of totonou. In the open-air bath, you can enjoy the natural hot spring water of the famous Ikedayuge Onsen and indulge in its silky, skin-smoothing waters.

Large Bath Ikedayuge Onsen

Both Tenkei and Shikisai, the observation baths, are equipped with spacious indoor baths with a view and open-air baths fed by natural hot spring water. The open-air baths, Yamamomono Yu and Ajisai no Yu, use quality Ikedayuge Onsen water delivered daily from Gifu Prefecture, heated and circulated. This alkaline beauty bath, rich in bicarbonate, helps leave the skin smooth. With a sweeping view of the calm panorama of Mikawa Bay below and, at night, the beautiful nightscape of Gamagori, you can enjoy an exceptional bathing experience.
