Hokkaido Hakodate City

"Hakodate Yunokawa Onsen Yumoto Takubokutei" is a long-established hot spring hotel in Hakodate, Hokkaido. Hot Spring & Bath Information

Yunokawa Onsen

TypeNatural Hot Spring

The natural hot spring of Yunokawa, enjoyed in the sky-high public bath "Unkai" on the top floor and the sky-high open-air bath "Isaribi." The spring quality is neutral, isotonic sodium-calcium chloride spring, and it is well known for being gentle on the skin and warming the body thoroughly. Because its salt content helps prevent sweat from evaporating, it has excellent heat-retaining effects and is especially good for cuts, sensitivity to cold, and recovery from fatigue. At night, you can soak in superb views of Hakodate's night scenery and the fantastical squid-fishing bonfires drifting on the sea, known as isaribi.
