KutsurogijukuChiyotaki

A ryokan where you can enjoy a superb open-air observation bath and Aizu local sake while gazing at the night view of Aizu Castle Town from the top floor of a hill

Fukushima Aizuwakamatsu City

Kutsurogijuku Chiyotaki is a hot spring ryokan located on a hill in Higashiyama Onsen, the quiet retreat of Aizu-Wakamatsu. The property’s biggest attraction is Yugetsu no Yu, an open-air observation bath on the top floor, the 10th floor. From the tub, you can take in a panoramic view of Aizu’s lush mountain scenery by day, and at night, the glittering streets of Aizu Castle Town and a sky full of stars. The water is a mildly alkaline sodium-calcium sulfate-chloride spring known for its skin-beautifying effects and smooth, pleasant feel. On the 2nd floor, there is also Fumoto Yu, a semi-open-air public bath where you can feel the refreshing mountain breeze, as well as private baths for enjoying the hot spring in complete privacy. After your bath, you can spend a relaxed adult evening immersed in Aizu’s history and culture at the in-house sake bar and library.
