About Sennotani

"Sennotani Onsen Inn" is a secluded resort hotel in Sarugakyo Onsen, Minakami Town, Gunma Prefecture. Set in the mountains, it offers the chance to enjoy soft natural hot spring water that is said to be highly effective for beautiful skin while overlooking rural scenery and a sky full of stars. The inn has two large bath areas: on the third floor, "Starry Light Bath" is equipped with a dry sauna, a cool cold plunge bath, and an open-air bath. On the first floor, "Moonview Bath" offers a lying-down bath and a standing bath. There is also a private open-air bath with free-flowing natural spring water, providing an exceptionally relaxing time.

Large Bath Moonview Bath

A spacious large bath on the first floor. The hot spring uses the natural waters of Sarugakyo Onsen, which are extremely gentle on the skin and provide moisture. The high-ceilinged, open indoor bath is equipped with a standing bath, where you stand in the tub to promote circulation throughout the body, and a lying-down bath where you can relax while reclining, as well as an open-air bath that lets you enjoy the changing beauty of the seasons. It offers a wide variety of bathing experiences that deeply soothe both body and mind.

Large Bath Starry Light Bath

A relaxed large bath on the third floor that can be used all night long. From the windows, you can look out over peaceful rural scenery and mountains, and at night you can fully enjoy a pleasant bath while gazing at a sky full of stars. The water is a natural hot spring that gently soaks into the skin and is said to help relieve daily fatigue and joint pain. Together with the adjoining open-air bath, sauna, and cold plunge bath, you can enjoy a luxurious totonou experience and hot spring bathing.

Private Open-Air Bath Moonview Bath and Starview Bath

A luxurious private open-air bath where you can enjoy hot spring bathing in privacy. The tub is generously filled with fresh natural spring water from Sarugakyo Onsen in free flow. Its greatest appeal is that, in the clear mountain air, you can have the sparkling starry sky and beautiful moon above all to yourself, undisturbed by anyone. Couples, families, and married pairs can spend an exceptional private time, slowly talking together while experiencing the distinctive atmosphere of the hot springs with their whole body.

A cold plunge bath for one to two people located right next to the dry sauna. While it uses tap water, it is known for its clear quality that reflects Minakami's cool climate. It gently embraces your heated body after the sauna and cools you down refreshingly. This is an essential part of the hot-and-cold alternating bath cycle, leading into outdoor air bathing in the crisp mountain breeze from the open-air area, offering a clean and invigorating sensation.
