Bettei Senjuan is a hot spring ryokan in Minakami Town, Tone District, Gunma Prefecture. Every guest room has a private open-air bath with free-flowing natural hot spring water, allowing you to enjoy a private soak while feeling the nature of the Tanigawa area up close. The large bath area is equipped with a highly efficient dry sauna surrounded by binchotan charcoal, a gentle mist sauna that is kind to the skin, and a refreshing cold bath filled with natural hot spring water. In addition, the private sauna reserved exclusively for overnight guests offers breathtaking views of the Tanigawa Valley, and you can even use the river right in front of you as a cold plunge bath for an exceptional immersive experience.

Large Bath

A historic private hot spring source that has continued to flow since the Edo period is used lavishly as 100% free-flowing natural hot spring water. Rich in calcium and sodium, it is a hypotonic, mildly alkaline bijin no yu that leaves the skin feeling moist and supple. In the open-air bath, where the dynamic scenery of the valley and the sound of the river spread out before you, and in the elegant indoor bath scented with hinoki, you can enjoy an exquisite soak that gently cleanses the skin and warms you from the core.

A cold bath adjacent to the sauna room in the large bath area, Ichinokura. It is filled with hot spring water from the property's own source that has been cooled after heating, and is characterized by a mellow, gentle texture that feels as if it softly clings to the skin. Its natural coolness changes with the season at room temperature, placing less strain on the body so you can cool down slowly. The flow to the superb outdoor air bath space, where the river breeze blows through, is smooth and easy.
