Enjoy a variety of baths and an intensely hot authentic sauna at a modern sukiya-style ryokan

Nagano Suwa City

"Hamanoyu, Kamisuwa Onsen" is a long-established onsen ryokan founded in the Taisho era, located in Suwa City, Nagano Prefecture. It offers excellent access, just a 5-minute walk from JR Kamisuwa Station, while exuding the refined atmosphere of a modern sukiya-style building. The hot spring water is a simple sulfur onsen drawn from the Nanatsugama source, known for its skin-beautifying qualities, and the baths include a black granite bath, a bubbling hinoki bath, and a rock open-air bath, along with a variety of tubs such as the "herbal bath" and "lavender bath." The men's area features a straightforward, intensely hot dry sauna and a compact tsubo-style cold plunge bath, while the women's area is equipped with a gentle mist sauna that softly moistens the body, allowing you to fully enjoy an authentic hot-and-cold alternating bath experience at your own pace.
