About Suwahaku Bettei Shuhaku

"Shinshu Kamisuwa Onsen Suwahaku Bettei Shuhaku" stands in a prime location on the shores of Lake Suwa and is a sophisticated hot spring inn that reopened in May 2025 after renovations. It is the only inn in Kamisuwa Onsen with two different natural hot spring sources on the property, making it an inn of two springs. From the observatory grand bath on the top sixth floor, you can take in a sweeping, unobstructed panorama of Lake Suwa. Here, you can enjoy a luxurious bath-hopping experience in both the indoor and open-air baths, with the vividly colored "Aka no Yu," a rare colored hot spring in Kamisuwa known for its excellent heat-retaining properties, and the smooth, skin-beautifying "Shiro no Yu," which gushes from 2,000 m underground. The barrier-free private open-air bath available exclusively to overnight guests, along with the hot springs where you can feel the breeze from Lake Suwa, promises the ultimate in relaxation.

Observatory Grand Bath "Kocho no Yu"

An observatory grand bath with outstanding views, where you can look out over the beautiful surface of Lake Suwa from the sixth floor, the top floor (gender rotation schedule). The indoor bath is filled with the only colored spring in Kamisuwa, the hot spring source "Aka no Yu," which gushes from about 160 m underground. Rich in sodium, it warms your body gently and deeply from within. Meanwhile, the open-air bath is filled with the colorless, transparent, smooth, skin-beautifying "Shiro no Yu," which gushes from about 2,000 m underground, allowing you to enjoy two natural hot spring sources to the fullest while feeling the breeze from the lake. Twice the enjoyment, twice the luxury.

Observatory Grand Bath "Mineho no Yu"

An observatory grand bath overlooking Lake Suwa and the majestic surrounding mountain ranges (gender rotation schedule). The indoor bath here is filled with the clear, silky skin-beautifying spring "Shiro no Yu," which gently wraps your skin in moisture. The spacious stone open-air bath makes luxurious use of the rare pale-yellow cloudy hot spring "Aka no Yu." In the foreground, there is also a reclining bath where you can lie back and enjoy bathing, and at night you can immerse yourself in the finest hot spring experience while gazing up at the starry sky above.

Private Open-Air Bath "Honoka"

A private bath with an open-air bath, available exclusively to overnight guests, where you can luxuriate in your own private hot spring experience. Its barrier-free design makes it easy for wheelchair users and guests who need assistance to enter the bathing area safely and without barriers. Without worrying about being seen by others, you can slowly and fully enjoy two famous springs, "Aka no Yu" and "Shiro no Yu," together with your family or someone special, in this superbly relaxing space.
