Nagano Komoro City
A scenic hot spring above the clouds and a grand panorama of nature, reached by a dedicated funicular train
"Hishino Onsen Tokiwakan" is a hot spring inn at the foot of Mount Asama in Komoro, Nagano Prefecture. Its signature attraction is the observation open-air bath above the clouds, reached by a dedicated funicular train from the main building. With an infinity open-air bath that blends into the sky and forest, and a cold plunge bath using pure spring water from the Asama water system, it offers a superb bathing experience where you can forget everyday life and become one with the magnificent panorama. Some guest rooms also feature a semi-open-air bath, allowing guests to relax in a private space at their own pace.

A dedicated ceramic bath is provided on the lower floor of the spacious room, so you can enjoy a special soak just for you without worrying about anyone else around you.
